Importers of firearms and ammunition require the Type 08 FFL. Applicants will have to register with ATF as an importer. For ammunition importers, ensure the premises used for ammunition is in compliance with state and local regulations. Some jurisdictions have very restrictive requirements for the storage of ammunition.
